Pleasant Grove Dental has an amazing staff dedicated to making your visit a pleasant one. From our dentist to our office staff, we will make sure to satisfy all your dental needs.

 Dr Calos E Bonilla graduated from Boston University Dental School in 1993.  He joined the US NAVY as a dental officer and served as part of First Dental Company, First Dental Battalion, Camp Pendleton CA.  Until 1997 gaining experience in general dentistry and surgery.  While in California he started working as a civilian in private practice.  Now with 25 years of experience doing all aspects of general and cosmetic dentistry, he also has training in implant placement and restoration. Dr Bonilla is married to Dr Diaz and is the proud parent of two young men aged 17 and 21.  He coached them in baseball for some 8 years.  He enjoys sports, water sports and baseball.  His passion is dentistry and serving the patient first.

Dr. Diaz has been a part of the Elk Grove Community for over 14 years where she raises her two sons. She graduated from the prestigious Boston University and served in the Navy and Coast Guard until 1994. She is dedicated to dentistry and provides her patients with a gentle, caring, and comprehensive approach to oral health. She believes in a conservative, preventive dentistry and her goal is to keep her patients smiling. Both of Dr. Diaz’s sons are involved in baseball in the Elk Grove community. Her older son plays varsity baseball at Franklin High School and her younger son was part of the Laguna Youth Baseball team that participated in the Cal Ripken World Series 12U. Dr. Diaz is bilingual speaking both English and Spanish.

Josty has been working in dentistry for over ten years. She is very knowledgeable in all dental insurances and the business aspect of managing the dental practice. She is a mother of two who is very active in the Elk Grove Community and her children are also active in youth sports like football, soccer, baseball, and softball. In her free time, she enjoys spending time with family and traveling with her husband and children. She is also bilingual speaking both Spanish and English.

As an enthusiastic and hard-working dental hygienist of 14 years, I am passionate about leaving patients with a smile. I also value working efficiently with others who share my interest in the best oral health for our patients. I am committed to giving my patients a comfortable and informative experience along with quality care. Continuing education is important to me along with staying up to date with certifications in my profession. Not only do I take great value in my work but I also have a lot of fun getting to know my patients. In my time off I enjoy spending time with my husband and three kids.

Sonya is one of our highly trained dental hygienists. She graduated April 2015 from the Utah College of Dental Hygiene with a Bachelors of Science in Dental Hygiene. She absolutely loves to help people gain confidence about their healthy, clean smiles and she enjoys what she does every day. She was born in Rexburg, Idaho but lived her childhood years in Beaverton, Oregon and then returned to Rexburg where her family remains today. She served an LDS Mission among the Hispanic people in Tampa, Florida. She met her husband while attending hygiene school and were married October 2015. They have one happy and beautiful daughter, born in February 2017. Sonya loves the outdoors, reading, art, piano, sewing, learning new things, and of course, dental hygiene. She can’t wait to meet you!

Missi has a huge passion for patient education. She specializes in laser periodontal therapy, helping patients improve their oral health as well as their overall health. Missi has over 13 years of dental hygiene experience and when she’s not working on improving smiles you can find her cheering on her 2 beautiful kids on the basketball court or soccer field. Missi enjoys traveling, camping, fishing and spending time with her family.

Sarah has been a registered dental assistant since 2006 and she takes pride in making her patients Smile! She strives to make sure that her patients are happy, comfortable, and confident in their dental work. She has been married since 2014 and in her spare time, she enjoys attending Raiders games with her husband, camping, cooking and spending time with family and pets. Her favorite show is The first 48 and she loves Harry Potter.

Partima is a long time resident of Elk Grove, she has two daughters that both graduated from Pleasant Grove High School. She has been practicing Hygiene since 2001. She has a Hygiene Certificate in Virtual Dental Home Hygiene from UOP and is also Dental Laser certified. She has worked in alternative practice since 2015. Partima is a very experienced hygienist that brings a high level of skill to our office.

Shelby is one of the two RDA’s at Pleasant Grove Dental. She did her internship here last spring as a dental assistant and in the fall received her RDA. Shelby has always been interested in the dental field since she was little and loves the field she works in. She will always greet you with a huge smile and make sure you feel comfortable during your dental experience. Shelby is very outgoing and loves to do anything that involves being outdoors, or creative.
